Thanks for the reponses folks,am definatly bring this up with my service rep,he already told me that there where 5 service bulletins on this issue which have never been addressed so hopefully I can get some satisfaction out of them.(would be nice). My other question was about Alldata and their info that they have on the Sportage, anyone familar with the site and what they list or don,t list or cover for maintance and tear down procedures?.
Any opions or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks John

I have never used the Alldata stuff so I don't know how complete it is.

Thanks Axe man, checked out the link you provided but at this time they are sold out of the books I,m looking for.
May just have to spring for a subscribtion to AllData and relie on some of the folks and there knowledge at this site.
I,m sure a pretty interesting and complete mauual could be put together based on some of the posts I have read in the forum, little bit of humour, things to watch out for, where the knuckles are going to get bashed ,all that neat stuff, something like the Computer for Dummies mauauls.
Anyway back to work now ,Thanks again For the Help.
John

Body Damage is Cool
Belive it or not the infos here are BETTER than the shop manual since there is "on hands" experience in each matter, not only by the book.
Ask whatever trubles you.
