Did mine about a year and a half ago. I didn't think mine was cracked either, as it functioned reasonably well. You have to look pretty close to see the crack(s) with the piece installed, but are very obvious when you get the bracket out. I put the new bracket in, as well as the reinforcement that installs between the clutch master cylinder and the firewall. Don't forget to do the little plastic pivot bushings and the plastic spring seat bushing at the same time. WOW what a difference! I realized that before it felt like I was breaking something each time I depressed the clutch pedal. I guess I was. No problems with the new pieces. They ran me about $60 total.
