How big of a tire can you get on a 1993 4Runner with no lift in it....just stock suspension?

And....

How big of a tire can you get on it with a 2" body lift?

(the suspenion is getting completely redone...to stock height)

'93 4Runner - 3.4L 5VZ-FE, 2" body lift, on-board-air system, custom gauge cluster, rear e-locker, electric fan, custom built front and rear bumpers, sliders, 4,88 gears...all on 33x12.5's.

My 31x10.5's would barley rub when my wheels were fully turned on my '95 4Runner. After a 3" body lift I cleared 33x12.5's with less rubbing as the 31's at stock height. You could always crank up the T-bars and get a small spacer in the rear and probably fit 33's with a 2" body lift.

Yep, 31x10.50 as-is or 32x11.50 if you do a little work trimming the front fender, assuming stock wheels.

1" - 2" body lift is usually plenty to run to fit 33s.

Roll Me Over
my 94 came stock with 31x10.50x15. If you remove the running boards and mud flaps, set your fender to rim Tbar setting to 14"ish and get some 1.5" HD springs you can get away with 33's. I'm running 35x12.50x15 Dunlop Mud Rover's on my 94 with 3" body lift, rear 1.5" (levelers) and cranked Tbars to about 14.5" setting. only rub upfront with full lock turns. also, becareful b/c some tires are different "actual" sizes. My 35" Mud rovers only measure 33.8". my Goodyear wranglers (stock size and wheels) 31x10.50x15's measured 29.5". So some manufactures make different size tires even though they are all the same "size". You can do 33" BFG's or Dunlops with ease.

Body Damage is Cool
I was running 33's with just rear lift coils and a torsion crank and some creative trimming. It would still rub until I bent some metal out of the way it also depends on the backspacing you are running as well. I am running a 1.4" BL now no rubbing issues at all. I am still trying to get my crap running though.

i run 32x11.50 on 15x7s with 3.75 backspace...i did a little trimming of the valance and fender lining (20 minutes) and can only make them rub at almost full lock and compression.

on stock wheels you should have little trouble clearing 32s

with the body lift, 33x12.50 on 15x8 should work nicely

I have 33/9.5's on stock with a minor t-bar tweek. I like the larger diameter tire, just wish they were wider. The tall skinny's don't rub at all. But then again, they are tall skinny's. Wish they were wider...did I mention I wish they were wider.

That's your steering stop(s) grinding...the plastic wears through fast and you get metal on metal

You can upgrade to the 33x10.50 tires for something wider:

9.50 vs. 10.50 tires

9.50 MT left and 10.50 AT right:
