I live in NE PA, about an hour north of Allentown, and they are starting to put the emissions testing into place. Personally I dont see it as that big of a deal. Currently in the counties surrounding me, its basically a gas cap test and making sure all the equipment is in place and works. But my truck is registered down just North of Philadelphia, so it has to go through the actual tailpipe test. Which it passes with ease. And my last inspection only cost me about $55 with the coupon I got out of the paper. To pass emissions, your gas cap has to seal and any emissions equipment that came on your truck has to be there. Its amazing how many catalytic converters we sold at work in the past 3 weeks or so. So as long as all your equipment is there and works on your truck, you should be fine. Even in 86 there were some trucks that didnt come with catalytic converters.
