Here's one that popped into my head within the last two weeks...
1) Get a wrecked GenII (preferrable the frame is still straight) for cheap. 95+ would be better for HP and of course my preference would be 95-96 so I could get HP and MT.
2) Get a decent Gen I with a blown drive train.
3) Shorten the Gen II fram for the same wheel base as the Gen I.
4) Cut the body mounts off of the Gen I frame and reweld appropriately in to the Gen II.
5) You get it from here...


Why this over a Gen II V6 into a Gen I?
1) Gen II axels have 5.29s still available.
2) Active-trac is good.
3) Better t-case [as I understand from others' posts].
4) Four wheel disc brakes.
5) Just because...
