Most tires that you can get in white letter versions also come in a black wall version (like Ashmason said, actually two different tires). The white letter tires are usually a few bucks more than the black wall tires. There are some tires that only come with white letters and on those you have to turn them around if you want the black side out. If you take a close look at some white letter tires, it says "this side out" on the tire. I know the set of BFG Long Trails that I used to have said that.

Wow, that's news to me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> When I was shopping for new tires a couple of years back, every kind I looked at that had white letters were just black on the other side (none of them were directional). And, as I said, my old Scorpions were that way....... guess I was just lucky. Learn something new every day <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />



That could explain part of this...... I wasn't exactly looking for that label on the tires. I know for a fact the the Scorpions can be mounted either way though..... that is how their second owner has them mounted.

Black side out ... I hate cleaning white walls/ letters.
