Most tires with white lettering have the white lettering on one side, and standard black on the other side. Its a matter of which side you get placed out, not a matter of ordering tires either with or without the white letters. I can't tell which your post was saying.... but it reads like you can either get tires with white, or tires with black.

Pirelli Scorpion AT's were the tires I had before moving up to MT's. Mine were just as I described above, white on one side, black on the other. It reads in your post like you specifically bought a set with just white letters, not that you had the white faced out???

Must not run many trails that exercise your sidewalls then. I can't think of any other explanation for your letters still looking good after that many miles. The Scorpions were good tires for an AT for the 35k miles I owned them.... but they weren't that tough.
