You could have an internal leak in the master cylinder, which could behave as you describe. It is not uncommon for master cylinders to fail right after bleeding- the reason? Using pumping to bleed the brakes sends the piston seals into a rough, contaminated area in the master cylinder, damaging them. It doesn't take long after that.
