I did the swap in my CJ-5 with a 4.2. The only things that took a little tweaking were rigging up a throtle cable and putting in a manual choke.

I had used a 2100 off of a AMC 304 with the climatic choke, but I understand that some of the 1980's Ford carbs came with a manual choke.
