thanks for the info. i have just done a "mexican repair" on my weber. this thing has been sucking so much gas (mostly unused) that i resorted to putting paperclips in the jets. remember i'm at 9000 ft, and the altitude requires adjustments. well, i'm waiting, and waiting, and waiting for redline weber to get back to me, a week now.... had to have a temporary fix until i can get a jet kit. the thing is running better than ever. amazing difference. these guys down here at times have the best ideas. comes from being poor your whole life. anyway, once again, thanks for the info on the motorcrafts. does anybody have a motorcraft that used to have a weber? curious to hear from you especially. i've never used a carter, so those comparisons don't speak to me. rob
