My 92 (which has had its free headgasket) also burns about a quart every 1000 miles. It has 175K and has taken a little beating offroads. I thought that it was just burning oil. No big deal. Doesn't smoke any. No other problems like coolant loss. A little wet oil where the drain plug. Drain plug seal went bad and forgot to replace it.
Should I be concerned? I just keep a close eye on it and carry a spare quart of oil around. Thanks Sid <small>[ November 14, 2002, 10:34 PM: Message edited by: Sid's Toy ]</small>
