What little joe said or the 'hardening' style blue or black silicone. I like using a clean seal and might think <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> would accumulate on the outside edge of a non-curing compound enough to justify being wiped down and fortified on a rebuild, but if he says it seals I'd be inclined to believe it.
