It may be up to the officer, but the CHP that pulled my buddy over passed him first, then had to turn around to pull him over. As I said he got out the tape measure and actually measured the height of the door. If it is legal to have no doors at all, than this was a case of pure police harrasmant, to bed he didn't get a fix it ticket with the officers name on it.

As far as delivery vehicles, they are commercial rigs and the door open/close may not be applicable. The possibility of objects falling out of a civillian truck without doors is much higher, than a commercial rig such as UPS or a U.S. mail truck. I did see quite a few rigs last year that showed up to the trails with no doors at all.

johnny_boy02, I would check with Nevada County CHP, and that of Yuba County, before running around without your doors on. If the cops pull you over for rthe doors they can pretty much search your rig for any and all vehicle code violations(if your rig has any) that they would not normally have been able to see when the rig is moving. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
