Yup, I'm in the same situation.. I dont know if it was the PO or dealer aftermarket.. The truck was obviously not prepped very well since there is undercoating on the driveshafts, lines, hoses and just about everything else under there.. I have removed most of it (atleast where i have had to do work on the truck). The simplest way i've found to remove it is to tap it with a hammer to break it apart and then scrape it off.
