Geez, you just said that you wanted to get it OFF. Now you are putting all of these extra constraints on me. Usually if I have to break out Ol' Pickly I'm not too worried about the boots, I just change them if they tear.

Or you could just go to HF and buy this and never have to worry about it again...

Do not buy that from HF. I broke it the first time I used it. It's made of cast metal..... Got a real one from NAPA for ove 35 bucks but works great.

Or borrow one from AutoZone for... free. They do make good trail tools though, worth owning. FWIW, I have a pitman arm puller and TRE puller from HF that work great. A friend bought one and it busticated badly. Great consistency.

Got an ol' pickly too... good for user conflict on the trail to boot.

No need, both sides are apart now All together disasembly took me about three hours. Not to bad for my first time. Now im getting ready to to drop the housing and take the third member out so I can rotate the knuckles. Off to go clean up my tools. More questions soon.............

Quickest and easiest way to get TRE out is to use a hammer and tap of the outside to the hole the TRE goes through. It momentarily mushrooms the hole and the tapered TRE just pops out usually after 3 or 4 good whacks.
