man, you were right Razz....I tried 2 of the biggest operations here in the Phoenix area....no go. I don't think you want to re-tap the holes....well, you might want to but the tap won't cut the hardened material....and may snap off in the hole anyways. I could be wrong though.

Yea i thought about the tap snapping off too.. But I'm going to try a few hols on my old 4.10s first..

I also went over to my parants house and dug up all my old gears and stuff, I found the original bolts that came out of this locker when I bought it. the bolts are a little longer but only by about 1-2 threads..

Thanks for you help,
RAZZ

Can't take the locker to a machine shop and have them counterbore the 10 holes?

thought about that too but the back side of the of the locker is only about 5mm thick which is about what I need to cut out.. thought about trying to machine the ring gear side of the locker which is very thick, but that would move the ring gear over.. I don't thick I could make up the differance with the adjusting nuts on the side..

I have my 3rd member installed in my 4runner right now so thats why I can't take any pictures.. but there's one on ebay that's similar to mine.. the one on ebay looks like it's a little bit older and it broke so I bet that's why they made that part thicker.. this unit also looks like it was a cast piece, the one I have looks like it's a machined piece..
