Smokin' Aces (a movie full of big name stars that I give two thumbs up....my eyeballs) had a scene where a guy pops out into the top level of a parking garage.

He walks past the only vehicle....the back end if a blue Isuzu Rodeo Sport. You can even read it on the tire cover.

This is a bit of a stretch, but the cover of "What's Wrong With My Car" depicts the gauge cluster of a 1st Gen Trooper.

How about Radio/Podcast:

The Wall Street Journal This Morning report for June 18, 2007, 22 minutes into the podcast (time will differ for radio broadcast that has commercials) had the host say that prices would be cut on the Isuzu Impreza.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Car wars with Funk Master Flex. When Little Vic was talking on the phone about the expedition not starting there was a trooper behind him in the parking lot.

Saw a first gen Trooper in Live Free or Die Hard . Was on the TV news program. Not even a minor part in the movie. But I couldn't help but notice

ò Well, I did see it on TV in the past. A favorite Isuzu Vehicross advertisement.
ò Joe Isuzu's comeback commercial (set to the Rocky theme song)
ò I never caught this Joe Isuzu commercial when it was on
ò I never saw this one, either--but I still see Isuzu P'ups in AZ.

Here's a Motorweek introduction (4.5 min) to the VX. They pick on the rear visibility....once again Isuzu was ahead of it's time! Not being able to see out of your car is now considered a selling point. I am so un-hip.

And while not on TV, here's an Asian country VX video (as evidenced by the rear view mirror) of a VX going upstream, up to the hood in water (with a snorkel, obviously).

Bionic Woman Episode 8. A first gen Trooper was a stand in for a M-B G-wagon. They blew it up!

Yeah, I can hear it now...
"Sir, I just figured out how to save us about $75,000... At the last second, right before the explosion, we'll cut to an old Isuzu Trooper -- No one will ever know the diference."

At about 8:30PM last night, on HGTV ( I'd lost my remote privileges ), one of the shows did a shot outside of the place where they were working, in Washington D.C., and there was a white & silver two-tone 2nd Gen Trooper parked across the street.

Me: -pointing- "Trooper!"
Miss Kathy: (*groan/rolleyes*)

Movie Hot Rod. 50 minutes in, right after he pushes the liquor cart out of the store and his friends are talking to him.

As his head goes back and forth, you can see that directly behind him is an Amigo.

IÆve got two spottings this weekà

#1: In the opening monolog of æ1968 with Tom BrokawÆ, Tom is standing on the corner of Haight & Ashbury, and a very clean, white 1st Gen Rodeo drives through the shot.

#2: I canÆt for the life of me remember what I was watching, butà A witness was being questioned about the whereabouts of a suspect, and the witness said that the person left in a Trooperà In the very next shot, the camera pans across a silver 1st Gen Trooper that has recently smashed into a tree.

Anyone happen to catch that one (and can jog my memory) ?
