Do NOT get a trolley jack. These look identical to floorjacks, however they push up and back towards the person doing the jacking. This is dangerous when jacking a vehicle. I learned the hard way - no injury, but the first time I jacked w/ it I should have returned it.

Otherwise I'd say get the highest rated jack you can afford - over 4k lbs. My 4k lb Craftsman trolley jack easily lifted my Toyota pickup, but it met a quick death under my Rover. Rover is 4500lbs, rear axle weight is over half that, and that killed it on the first try.
