If you want adjustability, many people on the board use and like the Rancho 9000's. I have the Rancho 5000's (non-adjustable) on my'93 Amigo and they are, IMHO, too stiff for a vehicle this stuby and light. They have softened up quite a bit over the past 5 years...... but I could feel every grain of sand I drove over for a long time.

Need a Spot
I also have the Rancho 5000's on my '95 Troop. I am pretty happy with them and they're about $20 cheaper per shock. I'm not as serious an off-roader as many on this board so that's something to consider.

Body Damage is Cool
My vote as always is for the Rancho 9000X adjustable shocks. It makes for a great daily driver and lots of options for off-road (soft setting to float over rocks or hard to keep from bottoming out). Someone recently posted a great deal on Rancho 9000X's at $59/each. Do a search.

Roll Me Over
I just did a set of Pro Comp ES3000's on my 88 Trooper and love them. I didn't have the cash to do the Rancho 9000X's or I would have bought them.

I have had the Rancho adjustables on two different trucks and liked them very well.

I was very happy with the Old Man Emu Nitrochargers I had on my 99...adjustability is overrated if the shocks work right in the first place! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/bird.gif" alt="" />

Not cheap though...
