Just curious. Let's leave the obvious stuff like hammers and such out of this one.
My fave purchase has by far been an electric impact gun. Working on my previous east coast truck, this gun made short work of the rusty bolts that plagued me for years. And tire changes are now actually fun! This thing even loosened a large pinion nut that nothing else could budge (including two guys standing on a 4 foot breaker bar).
What have you guys picked up in the last year or so, that you couldn't do without?

I think my 60gal eagle compressor is my most useful tool. Picked up a couple of IR rattle guns too an IR212 and an IR2131. I dont know how I lived with out it now that I have one.

Set of welders, mig and arc. 150 for both. Can't see how I made it this far without them.

The electric impact wrench has been in my stable for several decades... outstanding tool.. In the last year.. a 2750psi power washer.. great for using around the house.. especially in the humid southeast where mildrew, bug doo, dirt dobbers, etc is a problem ![[Linked Image]](http://www.northerntool.com/images/product/images/1578171_lg.jpg)

Dan...I'm jealous...I want a power-washer pretty badly.
However, the best tool I've bought would have to be my Leatherman. I wear it daily, and rarely go a day without using it to some degree. I can poke things, cut things, pry on things, bend things, destroy things, & file things. Truely a great asset to the DIY'er. Granted, it is not the BEST tool for "every" job....but it's a Jack of All Trades and Master of None. Very handy to have on the side.

Weller Butane Soldering Iron kit which includes a mini torch fitting, wide and narrow soldering tips, and a nylon line knife/cutter.
It's been indispensable since I've been doing quite a few electrical upgrades (Aux Light wiring, Aux. Fan wiring, 12v to back of Monty w/ associated relays and power block, etc.)
Adjustable temp, no extension cords, no muss, no fuss.
Oh, also great for starting a fire if necessary.

I got one primarily to use on repeater sites where lugging drop cords and a regular soldering iron is a PIA.. I find I use it more and more.. Really handy for working on wiring on a vehicle..

Oh, having used everything from basic Radio Crap soldering irons to really, really nice weller units w/ built in vacuum desoldering units, this one's definitely holding it's own.
