The handies tool set I have bought lately has been a set of metric Gear Wrenches. The combo box and open end wrenches with the ratcheting box end.

They are Ghetto Fabulous

I migh have to agree. I think being able to make your own threaded holes when and where you want is about the coolest thing next to a portable winch.

I'm working for a small company installing a number of of DC power plants for telephone systems and large UPS systems for the peripheral equipment and have really discovered how helpful a good tool pouch is.

A day filled with bending over to get tools and too many trips back to the truck for some needed tool, starts to wear on you.

I looked at a number of them before I found the Occidental Leather 1555. The Occidentals are are the best..

Roll Me Over
I'd have to say this tool became very critical on my front end rebuild:

Got one new in box on Ebay for $60 Sure beats the old non-ratcheting beam type I had.

Other great additions which happened to come off Ebay:

My boss' old gas powered air compressor, 2 stage, with 5hp B&S chugger. My house power won't even support a pancake compressor, so between that and hopefully a new place going up in the next couple years off-grid, I'll be able to keep up on my little projects.

Good tap/die set and racheting combo set are on the list.
Santy Claws gave me the new 18v Dewalt suitcase combo

If you want a good quality welder AND back up power generator, these are the best bang for the buck!..

Miller probably sells more of these than any other welder and it's reflected in the price.. Getting a continuous duty 10kw generator driven by a 20 hp Kohler engine is not bad for the money..

One down side.. these things are LOUD... but if you are in an area off grid shouldn't be a problem....
