Thanks Bill.

How about posting one of your favorites?

Keep 'em coming folks, good stuff here. I have one I'll be testing next weekend (dutch oven recipe) that sounds good, I guess we'll see if it's palatable...

My favorite is called Black Swamp Breakfast. You need a heavy skillet (I use my dutch oven) bacon, sliced potatoes, eggs, seasonings to taste. Once the skillet is hot add the bacon (depending on how many you are feeding) cook it about half way, add the potatoes and cook until crispy then throw in the eggs (without the shell of course) and cook until done. Serve it up! I have also added cheese at the very end and japalenos on occasion. You can leave the potatoes out and have a low carb meal. Very simple and since my camping food list usually consists of steak, bacon and eggs it fits right in!

The Heart Attack

Large skillet, half stick butter, half a dozen eggs, package of peperoni, about a cup and a half of diced ham, Salt/Pepper, put everything in the pan together cook till well....everything is cooked. Then top it with a bag of colby jack cheese. May sound a bit off but the best friggen breakfast I have ever had, make it everytime since the first time we emptied everything we had in the cooler into the frying pan.

potatos in the tin foil is always good too. about four chopped up otatos skinned or not whatever you like. layer the top and the bottom of the foil with bacon so the potatos dont stick to the foil. Salt Pepper the potatos and yes about another half stick of butter. Have to have it.

That Heart Attack sounds WICKED...must have!!

My favorite dinner is a pre made (MRE's BABY) and it goes like this.

We took the Beef Stew(2) and added (2) beef patties and (2) Pork patties (only way to eat thse nasty things) and cooked it all in a big pot with some salt and pepper and much Hot sauce.Suprisingly it was really good.

They sent us out by ourselves(me and a buddy) for 3 days in Saudi Arabia with 6 cases of MRE's we made some killer combos. As for coffee...we just opened the packs and dumped them in our mouths.Quick, effecient and no dirty dishes...LOL.

As for "homemade" fried biscuits...

Big 'ole pot of Wesson(or whatever)boil it and drop in Pillsbury biscuits(one at a time...CAREFULLY).Take them out when they are brown.

Try some [color:"red"]Yoshida's [/color] marinade for your meat. Its kinda like terriaki and is great when mixed in with hamberger or on steaks. Xlent flavor (more authentic) and keeps things juicy.
