yeah no highjacking but A LOT of my ?'s have been answered in this thread. thanks guys. i too was have that same leak. i thought it was coming from there but couldnt see how from under. i replaced the dist. o ring twice thinking the first was bad. i will wait to replace my gasket until i get my 4.3 tb. From the looks of it is the holley upgrade larger than the stock 4.3? and are the roller rockers a drop in install?

Body Damage is Cool
First off, if you are talking about the GM 4.3, remember, it is esentially a small-block with the front 2 cylinders loped off. The pistons, con-rod, bearings, rings, are all the same as the era 350..identical part numbers is bought individually. The vavletrain is the same as well. And, most, if not all 4.3s came with a roller cam. The rollers, for soemone who is familiar with working vavletrains, yes, they are a "drop in". The hardest part for most people is settign the lash without collapsing the lifters, BUT, if you get a Haynes, or other manual that covers a vehicle with that motor, you will be covered. And holley upgrade? which part are you talking about. I know I may have missed something. And yes, we always use RTV between the manifold and block in the front rear...

My 2 cents

Fel-Pro gasket set P/N MS 91022 comes with two gaskets, distributer o-ring and a tube of black RTV.
Good book: How to rebuild GM V-6 60 degree Engine by Tom Currao, Motorbooks International.
Ebay has Trooper service manuals on CD. I havent tried one yet but will. My Helms is getting very dog eared.
Gm 10-30 Light Duty Truck 1987 Service Manual covers the 2.8L TBI engine better then the Trooper manual. Don't know if the GM manual is on CD, I lucked into my set at a used book sale for $.50 each.
John in Lv, good luck
