Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a 87 4.2 w/ Howell FI and Hei Ignition 2" shackle lift,I have a noise @ hiway speeds but stop when pedal is up thought ujoints. But it doesnt happen at lower speeds,also the air locker vacuum has been misconnected since the FI conversion does anyone have ideas about noises or air locker schematic

i would check the u-joints first.

when they first start failing youusually only notice it at high speed. and with a shackle lift, it messes up the angles so rear joints blow more often.

I second the u-joints. I would also check the tranny mount or torque stud. Have a buddy rev it up (ya, that'll be hard) and watch the back of the t'case as it rev's. If the t'case and tranny rock back and forth, then check those mounts. Obviously in park <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for all the help I started wiggling around and found that the two 7/16 bolt that connect the mount to the tranny had come out,retapped with 7/16 14thread tap and installed new 7/16 x1 1/4" bolts I still have a noise Gonna try the u joints but the have no play. Has anyone found a vacuum diagram for front air locker
