It won't work. That is only for electronic speedometers. Yours is driven off a cable. There's no way it will work. The only way to compensate for it is to change the speedometer gears. Or, do like I do and use a GPS for your speedometer.

Richard

If you are referring to my 96 Troop, its electronic. I pulled the electrical connector off the transducer to get at the speedo gear this evening.

Sadly I had to get rid of my 1996 Trooper 3.2L due to a rusted frame.

Santi,

So where do I put this electronic device?

Finn,

I believe this link should help... please note that this is on a 2000 Trooper, so the speedo systems *might* (not really sure, to be honest) be different.

Oh, and here is another popular speedo calibrator, the Superlift Truspeed ... this one supposedly is pretty good, even influences your ABS (not sure how that works either )

Oh Finn, by the way, this is an extra handy way to get out of a speeding tickt (not that I condone speeding in ANY manner ), read this success story!

Good luck AND POST A PIC OF YOUR RIG,
Santi

This should let you calculate the spedo difference for after market tires. You can just post a conversion table on your dash

Go down the highway where there are mile post markers and when you travel one mile see what your odometer says you travled. That will be your difference. Try to find an area of highway that is relatively straight.
