when Curtis called me with this it was the 1st i had heard of it...........which i felt was weird <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> so yes i called TERA MFG. for clarification...........which originally i was told no one had heard of this.......and then after being on hold for a bit, was told yeah looks like that is true that it had been tabled as a possibility based on the rate the stuff has moved.....BUT, OF COURSE A DISCONTINUE (meaning "SOLD OUT" and deciding IF they wanted to make another stab at the product line) would occur at the point when current stock was sold. But, there was no time frame given or qty. on hand given.

well.................i called back yesterday to try and clear this up....because of the LOW stock numbers that were being thrown around. here is a summary of what i got out of my conversations with TERA MFG. Now.....I DO not work for TERA..........but i am a Distributor..............so this is my personal summary:

POINTS TO CONSIDER:

it is FALSE that the Isuzu Products are cancelled..........PERIOD. there is stock on the shelves at this time

it is true that maybe some internal "chatter" was accidentially relayed to the customer which inturn escalated into this rumor.

it is true that the gears will/would be cancelled if past performance (sales) is any indication of future results. Basically if it is going to be a REALLY slow burner then as stated before, maybe they will have to take a hard look at the business end of the product line.

it is true that there is a stock of gears on the shelf for each model # (exact numbers not disclosed, but the 25-50ish is close) Not exactly sure how many units moved of each over the past few days.

it is true that ***IF**** sales stay at the steady snails pace that they have been......then yes when this inventory is depleted there would probably not be another run.

it is true that if the demand is there and the market is pushing the manufacturer.......then the possibility to re-look at this product line is there as well. (menaing if guys are lined up to buy them when the inventory is depleted, why wouldn't the Mfg. think about continuing?)

[[[[ OK VENDOR HAT OFF...................................ENTHUSIAST HAT ON ]]]]

I think the biggest lesson here is that if you snooze you loose!!! you can't just take comfort in knowing that the products are out there you have to BUY.

if the community wants to continue to see SERIOUS product offerings like gear products, Lockers, conversion kits ...............WHATEVER

you have to scrape your pennies together and be one of the guys who buys and supports the Mfg's. that is the only way others will want to jump in. they will see a group looking to spend $$$ with notheing to spend it on. In business..........companies like to provide you with something to spend that $$$$ on.

again.......most Mfg. are not going to be a die hard isuzu enthusiast or owner......they just have the tooling or technology to bring a product to the market and are looking for aditional business opportunities based on the info that they are being handed.

so support these companies and show them that the manufacturing of isuzu parts is a good, PROFITABLE market to participate in
