Chris, Thanks for the tip. In my case, the halfshaft was as good as parallel to the ground with the stock coils. With the '99 coils, the angle change is minimal. Should not be an issue as I'm now at the factory height of a '99 4WD. But I'll keep an eye on those buggers!

Andreas, I think I'll follow your setup w/ the 99 OEM Coils. I called up Bilstein ( I have a 2wd bilstein shocks and the 4wd bilstein are diffrent for the front , rear shocks are the same) and the said that the shocks has the same height and mounting, only diffrence is the valving where the 4wd is more firm. Called my local TOYOTA Dealer and wanted 85-90 dollars per spring(about 380 for the set). Can you post the phone number for Jay Marks (Champion) Toyota where you got it for 220 for the whole set. I checked PP coils and they are 370 + shipping.

Tedster, Sounds great. I'd be leary ordering the springs from just any dealer. It took quite a bit of wrangling on the phone to get them to understand what I wanted to do, and that there are different length springs.
If you are going ahead with this, contact Mike Cothren at Jay Marks (Champion) Toyota, 713.943.7010, or 800-327-2087.
Mention that you've been in contact with me and that you would like for him to put together a duplicate order. The part numbers are:
Front right: 48131-35400 Front left: 48131-35350 Rear (both): 48231-35210
I'm not sure where you are, but the total for parts was $213.25, plus shipping. Should he need it, have him reference my order number 539809.
If you call him, you'll be able to explain this easier then trying to fire off an email that may or may not get to him. He was very pleasant to deal with and I had the springs within a week. Let him know these are '99 4WD, V6, auto springs. In all reality, he probably only needs the item numbers from you.
As for the shocks, order two new front ones from Shox.com and then sell you current front ones on either Ebay or this site. Good luck!

Andreas-just saw the pics, those are awesome! I wish I could get them in my size. Are you going to stay with the white letters out? Or are you just trying it out for now?

After watching Ernie at Goss's spend two hours getting the balancing dead on, they're staying just like that! I'm still amazed at how smooth these drive.

Andreas-When you get a chance get back out there with your tape measure and give us the measurements from the ground to your fender lip now that you have the new tires mounted! Just looking at the pictures again-Awesome! How does it feel sitting up there a little higher, now? Sometimes I will go through the drive-in window just so they have to reach up to give me my purchases, always makes me smile ;>)

Did just that earlier today. On level ground, I get 36" at each fender lip, and 18.75" to the bottom of the body seam - midway between the front and rear wheels. I'm diggin it. And yes, as whimpy as the increase is, you can feel it.

Just a followup regarding the new Revos. My wife and I just came back from a 10-day vacation during which we traveled almost 2,000 miles. The tires felt great, were smooth, and gave a slight hum at highway speeds. I kinda like the tire noise, and the wife doesn't mind. That's what counts.

Andreas,
Sorry, I just got around to finding this thread for the first time. I somehow missed it earlier. I saw you mentioned you were using '99 coils on your meet and greet thread and thought I had better search for the related thread!
Good to hear the confirmation on the new numbers. This should definitely be the final say on the matter. Good information on all accounts.
You mention the '99 coils have an extra wind. I'm assuming this was in comparison to your OEM's? Was this for the rear coils, or front, or both?
Oh yeah, the 'Runner looks good!
