Getting the Wheeling Fever
Should I buy the spacer for my 86ifs front suspension, or go with a body lift to get a bit more clearence for my 31 inch tires.

Should not need either to fit 31s unless you are running very wide or low backspaced wheels. But either would give you additional height and clearance.

Tire fitment information.

Like already said, you shouldn't need anything for 31"s. I have 32"s with no lift and no clearance problems. However, if you are really set on a lift, either elripster's spacers or Roger's 1" body lift should work just fine.

If you're sagging at all or you just want a little lift just do blocks shackles or AAL's and crank your torsion bars a little. I wouldn't want to hassle with a body lift plus I really don't like em.

Body lifts don't look bad if they are done right...

What are AAL's.

Oh and I did a 2.5in block lift in the back and was amazed at the look, clearance, ease of instalation and oddly the truck seemed to handle better. The next lift will be a 2in body before I start looking at the suspension. Changing the suspension geometry can be sweet if you know hwat you are doing and exactly what you want but I say start cheep and easy then work you r way up to more complicated and fun things.
