Nah... My 4Runner looks like ... I just liked that camera angle, 'cause it doesn't show how the paint has baked off the entire top side of the rig.

I am thinking of painting it later this year or next, using sand CARC paint (military desert paint), flat black for the top, bumpers and grill, and bedliner around the wheel wells and rocker panels (following the natural line in the body all the way around to the back).

Whadday'all think of that paint scheme? Low maintenance, and "Soft Scrub" takes out all the pinstriping from the trails!

I think that would be sweet. I have always thought it would be cool to pull out the carpet inside and rhino coat the interior floor and add a few drains so you could just hose it out. Has anyone done anything like this?

with a 3" body lift a friend of mine put 35's on his 93 toy. I also had 31's on my 91 and had no problems with the clearance. But if your gonna put bigger tires on it and want to save a lot of cash, go with the body lift.

Like others have said you should be fine runnin 31's stock, but if you are lookin for some extra lift I would just spend the money now and get a nice lift, but if that isnt an option you can put a 3in body lift on and clear 33's no problem. Just cover up the gap to make it look nice.

I have taken the carpet out of my rig and put in Hurculiner bedliner. It is very easy to do and you will be amazed at how bad the carpet you take out smells. Oh and there are already drain plugs in the floor for ya. Makes clean up REAL easy.

you dont possibly have any tips on where i might find a nice lift in the seattle area oh say.... about 4" and used?

brian89's 33" tire with no lift setup is starting to sound better and better, except for those rancho shocks i already have for a 4" suspension lift...

I'm new at the whole lift game, but the only place I have found that has any used lifts is out of Denver. Its called the Yota Yard. Here the site www.yotayard.com/home.htm

Go with the body lift. I did not need anything to clear 31's on my 1986 4WD Xtracab. They were mounted on 15x8 Centerlines.
