for the record, with the 2.8 and auto trans, I wouldn't want to run 33's with 5.38 gears. I've got 4.77's and 33" tires and even that puts engine RPM a wee bit higher than I'd like to run all the time.

I think 4.56 with 33's puts the engine in a much happier RPM range on-road - the problem at that point is horsepower, not gearing <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

please note that I know nothing about the transmission gear ratios in manual trans, or 2.6l equipped trucks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
