the re-built steering box being too tight is fairly unlikely but you never mentioned the size of the steering wheel? if you're running a small wheel with all that new stuff it could be overkill especially with tires that will have a tendency to follow imperfections in the road. just a guess again you didn't talk about the size of the wheel
