Well, he made it pretty clear that the crankshafts in the Mazda engine vs Kia are different. And that statement I've heard before from other sources. But the reason given was a forged crank vs a cast crank. So it doesn't make sense unless the diesel engines are running around with an inherently weak crankshaft. Or...maybe it is forged after all.
