I'll check about the gears, but they are not too much into gearing in that country so I doubt they would have anything. They would also have NO Miatas, so if they have anything it would have to be from another Kia vehicle. Sooner or later, most of us will have to go with Dave's transformation and put in a couple of Dana 44's. Hey Dave, about how much do you think you would charge for a conversion kit like that?

I would think it would be too hard to make a conversion kit for something of that magnitude. You gotta cut everything out of the Sporty and weld in new parts and all sorts of crap... I'm having mine done in about a month by a local offroad shop. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

rumor has it the guy helping me with mine in oct says that there is a kit to make the toyota transfer case divorced thus having a second transfer case for lower gears when you take it to that shop see if they know anything about it. He is looking into it on my end as well

there are a couple divorced input kits for toy cases on the market.
95 Sportage w/welded and 5.89 geared dana 44's on 38.5" TSL's.- SADLY SOLD CURRENTLY - 2000 sportage, 5.38 gears, welded diffs, 35" tires, 5.5" lift http://www.cardomain.com/ride/341410

Maybe Korea hasn't gotten the dual divorced t-case option, yet. Sounds slightly odd to me, considering Toyota is asian... er Japanese... Whatever...

sorry about that not yet i missed my ride with them in June working on getting one this month hopefully it will pan out. Working mad hours on mid shift. But still trying. Going to go to the local library this weekend, I hear there is some one that works there that speaks pretty good english which will help me out a ton. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
