Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well guys its three a.m. and Im just getting home. I sank my truck today. Stupid Stupid me. had it almost halfway up the door on the driverside, and up to the tail light. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours with the engine idling since the tailpipe was under water, a 79 f150 on 36" swampers pulled me out. the damage: probably gonna need a new front differential, rearend, transfer case flushed and other little *****. damnit i should have taken the way around.

Don't be tellin' us you went out by yerself <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
Ya gotta get good and stuck once in awhile, or just have the rig as a grocery getter.

Ya might do a physical inspection of stuff like your airtube, etc.
Don't forget to clean your breather tubes for the diffs. If you change the oil, you might be okay. Lube the ujoints and all that stuff too.
Stick your lawn sprinkler under there, go eat breakfast, check the Sunday paper, and TAKE SOME PIX for us!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Well i got my truck into my shop today...I guess i was pretty lucky. both difs had water in them, transfer case had water in it and my transmission did too. After doing 3 rear diff services, 2 front diff, 2 transfercase services, and 3 transmission flushes I think everything will be alright. Tomorrow is my day off and Im going to replace the rear pinion seal that swole and is leaking and the passenger side axle shaft seal.
I took a few pics of my engine compartment and my mud soked interior. The little storage compartments in the extended cab area where the jack goes is full of water on the driver side. Tomorrow out comes all my interior and in goes some kind of herculiner. Ill try to post some pics.

boy does that sound familiar-- good luck with getting it all cleaned out. watch out for water in the bottom of the door jam, there is a little compartment without a drain that i had to end up drilling a small hole in the sheet metal to get the water out.
