Thanks for clarifying my mindless dribble. I was talking about gear oil being lost from the tcase, not the tranny.

I have been up all week doing finals, and havent been sleeping at all.

Did you ever check the oil level in the rear diff after you starter hearing problems, or did you take it back the let them "check it".

I am seriously doubting you can abuse a 3rd member enough in shiping to cause bearing damadge, or any damadge period. You can bang your flange of the diff on a rock on the trail and not cause any damadge, the shiping guys would have to be doing some serious beatings to replicate even that much abuse.

The driveshaft wouldnt result in this problem. Vibrations sure, not bearing noise.
