I had the spring recall last year and my cars always lean since then, well I went to get a quote on my new tires and the guy said to check out the lean it has. So I took to Toyota and they checked it out, and said nothings wrong. How can something not be wrong when my driver side leans 1.25" lower than the passenger side. Anyone know how I can get to be even??

Ya know, I had the EXACT same problem!! The drivers front of my truck always seemed to sit down further than the other 3 corners of the vehicle. After much thought I finally figured out my problem.... The fat guy driving!

Mine is like that too. I thought we figured out a long time ago that it's normal for them to do that if you do a lift. Weren't the stock springs stiffer or longer on that side or something....

Yea, but mine isn't lifted anymore. It has the recall rear springs. I guess I'm gonan add a lift spacer, altho the guy at Toyota said something bout these coil spacers I could get at autozone that will make it level??

He's probably talking about one of 2 things, both are crap. One would be these 2 little rubber pieces you stuff in between the coils of your coil spring so it doesn't compress all the way. Crap. Second is a rubber spacer that you put on top of your coil spring, which would only work on the rear. They will last for a few months and then flatten and deform. Crap. I used them on my 96 and they were junk after a short time. Eric you need to figure out what is wrong and fix it the right way, not band-aid it. If you had the recall recently done, demand they fix it and call Toyota corporate. If it has sagged after a period of time, replace your coil springs.

The recall was done last year, but I never really looked at the lean, until they told me at the Firestone. The front is fine, it's just the rear. After I get my new tires I'm gonna see what happens then with teh rear, and if the Toyota I took it to want fix it, I'll go to another one and if they don't, I'm gonna call Toyota Corp.

I would look and see if the coils are seated properly on the ends. Bottom is more likely if it is the culprit.

I second this. The top of the spring can sit where ever it pleases, but the bottom needs to seat within the recess in the lower mount.
If you want the desert look, I'll sell you the stock rear coils from my '01....
