Almost but not quite as simple. The intake manifold bolts up - piece a cake, fly wheel - not a issue, must use the 2.3 distrubitor - the gears will line up correctly with the cam. Replace the fuel pump with electric rated at the pressure for the carb. OK - keep in mind on emergency cut off. Oil pressure switch is a good call.

Opps what about the belts for AC / OIL / Power Steeering... Take it from me.. there alignment sucks.

I ended up taking the main crank pully wheel to a machine shop and removing around 5-6 mm (millimeters) Not sure, been almost year. It worked mostly but ended up putting spacers ( washer) in front of the power steering pump.

Others on this site, If I remember correctly moved all or most of the gears and swapped them from the 2.3 to the 2.6. This seemed to resolve the spacing issue.
