Hey guys, searched around and couldn't find anything for the 3.2L. I have oil on the 1, 5, 4, and possibly 6(didn't get a chance to check that one) spark plugs. Also checked the oil level and it was down to the low line. So... any other details I could give you guys to help with a diagnosis? I figured it is either the head gasket or the head itself.
Ofcourse it happens the week of this trucks first wheeling trip.

I doubt the head is cracked. A cracked head or blown gasket does not usually allow oil into the combustion chamber.
Rings and/or valve guides and seals will.
Is there oil on the plugs (below the threads) or above, on the insulator? If it is the later, you may have a bad valve cover gasket or spark plug tube seals. This will allow oil into the boot area, then when you pull the plugs, it runs down to the electrode end of the plug.
Good Luck, Michael

I would also have to say rings. Like it was said before, it depends if it's on the top or bottom of the plug. Look into the plug hole with a flashlights and see if the top of the piston looks wet.

valve guides/seals could be worn. That'd be my first suspect. I've read in other posts that the oil ring on the pistons can clog and not allow the oil to drain out in some later model engines which results in mucho oil consumption and trashing of motors. Some have recommended a cylinder soak with Seafoam or similar internal engine cleaners to clear the rings, but I've never read a follow up success story.

Is there oil on the top of the plugs, or are the plugs getting fouled at the spark side?
I have the 3.2l and the entire divers side bank of plug had oil sitting on top of the plugs, but the spark side was clean and pretty. The valve cover gasket is leaking, doesn't cause a problem - other than leak oil. You can change the valve cover gaskets, if you'd like. I just left mine alone.
If the plugs are getting fouled on the spark side from oil, then i can't help you there.

Is there oil on the plugs (below the threads) or above, on the insulator? It is on the insulator. Would this cause the engine to tick? It has been ticking up a storm lately and I'm tryin' to figure out what might be causing it. Hey, thanks for the ideas guys.

do a search on "engine tick" - there has been tons and tons of discussion. Mine usually ticks with the engine is real cold, and when I need to add a little oil - or have the oil changed.
basically, the tick is harmless.
