Ok, did the big No-No. I installed a TRD Supercharger in my 98 4Runner myself. Why might you ask? Because I have an american 4Runner, and live in Germany. So anyhow the install went well, but it seems to be lacking in power. I know the throttle body and s/c are bolted down to factory specs, but I'm not sure of the vacuum lines. Does any one have any good pictures, or vacuum diagrams that are better than the ones in the S/C installation manual, so I can make sure I have the right hoses going to the right places, etc...

Thanks!

Here's a really good thread with pics for installing the gen 1 SC. =http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/show...BB13&Number=83695&Forum=

Do you have the paper copy of the install manual? If not I have one for the 2nd gen I could email you as a pdf. Just PM me if you want it.

That's a great thread. I have a second generation supercharger, so I'll see if I can crack the code.

I just realized that I didn't put that one-way valve into the hose that goes into the bottom of the throttlebody. Could that be the problem?

For info purposes, I did do a search but I did if for the word "vacuum."

Ok, here's some pictures of my super dirty engine compartment. Here's my vacuum hose layout, hope it's right.

From my quick peak at your hose routing it looks good. Except, I would install that one-way fitting ASAP, as it is very important. Before I installed mine my truck would buck like crazy during hard throttle input and release.

Got the one way valve in. But not much change. I'm going to see if I can find a place around here that does dyno testing.
