Thanks boosted.
You know what? Here's the last time I really want to discuss this.
I was born into a family that worked very hard to get to where they are now. Even now, I have to work for what I want. There are a few exceptions to this. First off, my parents bought me the Land Rover because they felt my 4Runner was getting out of hand and I was spending MY money on something that I didn't need to. They didn't get me the HSE. I'm very thankful for the truck. I have posted before about my parents forgetting my birthday. My parents may not have an emotional link with me that I would like to see, but I RESPECT THEM FOR THEIR HARD WORK and believe in that same principle.
Now the bike- I PAID FOR IT. Who's it titled to? ME. I pulled out the money that was needed out of my bank account that I have been putting my savings into. Not only the bike, I pay for all the extras, like going to the movies, eating out- even all the things I got my girlfriend who dumped me. Just becasue I live in Brentwood doesn't mean I'm spoiled. Not everyone is like that. I may have been blessed with a lot, but I do work for a lot of it as well.
I'm not a spoiled Brentwood kid- so please don't stereotype me.
The reason I always post on this board, even after my 4Runner was sold is because I feel like I have a good set of friends here.
I'm not a kid either. I'm almost 19- Every summer I run my dad's Subways- 50-55 hrs/week. The money I make goes to savings and my spending money.
So thank you for understanding, those that do. Those that don't, I wish you could really come here to Brentwood, and see who I really am before you pass your judgement.
Kunal

i dont think anyone on this board is spoiled, the world we are growing up in is different then most on this board.
anyone ever been to a "Board Walk Fries"? the girl whos dad owns that bought her little sister (17) a brand new escalade.
imagine that an escalade for your first car. my sister wouldnt even drive my first car because she was embarassed of it. i drove it till it died.

These comments are total BS, I don't understand how any of you can judge someone you only know from this website.
I've had to deal with this type of crap my whole life because my parents had a nice house. Of course what no one knew was that my dad's family came here from Cuba in 1960 with nothing but the clothes on their backs and they've busted their asses for over 40 years now to get where they are. People automatically assumed I was spoiled and never worked for anything. Truth is, I did and I still am and had less given to me than most of the people who were passing judgement on me.
The reason why my parents have a nice house is that they have been very smart with their money. When others were buying new cars they were buying their second hand vehicles. They've only bought 2 brand new cars in the 25 years they've been married, and all the others have been used ones probably sold by the same people passing judgement on them.
Point is, this is a frickin web board, and thus no one has a right to pass judgement on anyone else's person as a result of comments made on the board.
My parents just gave me a 1992 Toyota Cressida with 120k and an oil leak... anyone wanna criticize me for that???
Let the dude enjoy his bike, I'm sure he's worked hard for it, and if he didn't it's not really any of your business anyways Sounds like some people are jealous and want a bike for themselves

it's because i am sick and tired of all the posts crying "poor, poor pitiful me". my life is terrible. nobody loves me. my parents forget my birthday (oh, but they got me a 2003 discovery and a 2003 bike). my girlfriend dumped me. all i hear is how terrible things are for the rich kid from brentwood. it gets old. his life looks pretty damn good to me.
........and to claim i know nothing about people being raised with money won't fly. Let's not make this personal guys, ok? Jeez the guy was just posting pics of his new bike and now has to take all this crap? Who cares how someone else paid for or received something, be happy for them.

its kind of like I said about freedom in another post,,,,the ones that work for it, tend to appreciate it a little more.....
around october we have school tours here at the farm,,,,,and over the years I have seen 10`s of thousands of kids and parents from all walks of life...but I remember this one group from about 5 years ago,,,bunch of little hellions, so much so that after I was done with them I was complaining to a friend in the sales office,,,well some mother over heard me,,,,went to her teacher ,and the teacher came to apolagize to me,,,,,,well I added insult to injury on purpose,,,(they were a church school from palm springs) well it was Saint Teresases ( I never forgot thier name ) the rich kids were strait from hell...
but I was later blessed a few days later with a group of kids from warm springs school in San Bernardino ( poor as church mice),,,but I could not believe my eyes,,,,this was the only group of kids ever to be quite,,,,orderly, line up on a dime,,,and pay attention,,WOW!!! I was so happy that after I was done ,,I later found the teacher and thanked him personally,,,then gave him a bunch of gifts to take back to his class...
Well I am just relating my story,,,it doesnt mean I think people who have extra are b as terds,,,,but man kids do exagerate household values, humble is not a word to use in some cases.........now we were talking about a rice rocket werent we? hum devation i guess

The irony of this? Kunal, you have nothing to prove to anyone. You have a nice bike, you have a cool ride. That is all right by me. I am not passing judgment on you, or others.
The bike is cool. I seriously have wood for stuff like that and think it quite cool for those who can handle that sort of machine.
I am just interested why everyone assumes. Dude buys a bike and posts pics. That is all we know. I think it is cool.

You just gave a good exammple. I come from a family with money, a lot more than most. I still think you are spoiled because you were given that car, no matter how crappy it is. I was cut off when I was 15. I basically had a place to stay if I wanted. Everything else was paid for. I never had new anything, ever. I was wearing 2 year old clothes in high school, while some peoples daddies were out buying there daughters bmw's and mercedes for their 16th b-days. Bottom line from my book is: If it is given to you after a certain age you ARE spoiled. And no I am not jealous, I have done far more than most people do in their lives and I am only 25.
