will this trooper motor swap into a same year p-up 5 spd 2wd.
is the oil pan different? will the p-up tranny work? same clutch?
are the trooper and the p-up 2.6 the same?

This doesn't exactly answer your question but I put a 90 somthing PUP engine in my 88 trooper (Got off eBay). You really need a doner engine to swap the wiring harness (swap intakes). The PUP and the Trooper of SOME vintages have slightly different distributors and wiring harnesses. Everything else fit no problem. I have a spare manual wiring harness and PUP distributor if you want.

Good Luck,

Kevin
