Ok, So, Now that I have my "budget Lift" done, Does anyone know the length of shock I should install now? I've pretty much decided to go with KYB's I just need to know what ones? Does anyone know a part number for gas-a-just front & rear, '89 LWB W/ 2" lift?

On the front you need to stay with the same ones as stock. You can go to a longer shock on the rear, but be cautious as to the travel. Sometimes the travel is just moved down, not increased. If you have not added bumpstops to limit upward travel, then you could bottom out the shock under compression. Kary

Don't have time to search the archives right now but they're listed in there. As Kary said, go w/ the stock size for up front (the lift you added w/ the torsion bar crank doesn't actually increase the travel).

Thanks Kary & Ray I did some searching for shock threads... I'm just not real good @ that yet & with my dial-up dinasour... well I should have known the fronts would be the same Thanks for the travel tip Kary, I had'nt considered that. Is there a danger of overextending the stock length? I guess I don't know enough about shocks... yet Do you know anything of the RMX Monotube that Les Schwab sells? Found a great deal on KYB's @ Pick Pro Parts

No worries about the search thing and glad to give the tips. Did you find the thread with the shocks? Regarding the rear shocks, I've found that w/ my 1990 v6 4D the documented shock models work great for off road use.
On road use, they are much stiffer than something like a monroe.

Thanks Ray, I was hoping you would chime in with what you are using on your '90 lwb I just ordered a set of Gas-A-Just from Pick Pro Parts: $32.02 Front & $37.50 Rear Great price for all who are looking. Happy Trails Bob
