Worth it in the long run i think for a 60 dollar part when gas is 2 dollars a gallon. US$6 per USgallon here at the moment (approaching UKP4 per ImperialGallon - my last fill was at UKP0.86/litre). There's talk on the radio of UK petrol prices approaching UKP8/ImpGal if it kicks off in Saudi this week

Gas (petrol) AUD$0.95-$1.04 per litre here at the moment = AUD$3.80 = USD$2.70

It's been a couple weeks now that we got the Sorento finished and so far I am very happy with this SUV. The wife, son & in-laws took it on a 1400 mile trip the week after I got if finished and they got 18.4 MPG on there trip. Here are a couple pictures of it finished. It has a LOT more pick up then the Sportage, can haul more stuff inside and it's LOADED. We plan on taking it off-road on some easier type trail next weekend so see how it does. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.explorerforum.com/data/503/2620Small_finished_Sorento.JPG) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.explorerforum.com/data/503/2620Finished_rear_view.JPG)

Wow! You did an exelent job putting it back together. I have a question for you. Do you ever use the Ford forms here? They seem dead to me. My Boy just got a 85 Ranger 4x4 with some electrical gremlins and I need some advice. Were is a good place on the web for Rangers, Bronco IIs, and Explorers? Dennis

In Brazil the Liter is around R$ 2,10 = 0,69 USD. But we also have Ethanol selling for about R$1,00 = 0,33 USD

Were is a good place on the web for Rangers, Bronco IIs, and Explorers? Dennis Dennis I don't check out the Ford board here much because I am over at Explorer4x4.com a lot. It is the biggest board for Explorer's, Bronco II's & Rangers that I know of. You might want to check it out and see if someone can help you out on your problem. I don't like electrical problems and I usually take it to our mechanic when I have those kind of problems. Hope this helps!!! Thanks for the responses, we really do like the Sorento. I really think it is a good looking body style, it has the power they forgot to put in the Sportages and it gets pretty good gas mileage. We are going to take it four-wheeling on some easier trails this weekend and see how it does.

does anybody know what a "GOOD" price is for a used Sorento and are they better built then the Sportage. There is a used 2002 in my area for $11k (30K miles) and I am considering it as a replacement for my Sportage.
Sportage, 1998, 4X4, 5 spd, Factory Config., vacuum hubs, 4 door, 100K miles Weekender-1975 Bricklin, 351CI, auto, Gull Wing, 13K miles

11k is a very good price, but it depends on how used and whether it's a 4x.
i would expect an 02 4x4 to be more than that, but an 02 2wd to be a tiny bit less.
