OK, I think the timing belt tension may be bad. The truck got stuck in water. I had to do a couple thing. I replaced the timing belt, but the is the loud taping coming from the front of the motor. I haven'tpulled eveything off and confirmed that's where the noise is coming from though. Something I noticed when I replaced the timeing belt was the the tension piston was extremely stiff. I had to put it in a vise to compress and put a pin in it. It took some work even with the vise. Is this normal?
This is on a 3.5 2000 Trooper motor.
Thanks,
