I couldn't find a rack that i liked, so i designed and built a rack for my 88 4R...

Bill_Morgan, I also had planned to use expanding nuts, and that may work in the rear where the fiber glass is almost 1/3 inch thick.. but in the front, it is much thinner... i simply bolted through using a sunken nut [like a washer and a nut combined, with the nut on top and up in the hole] and i built the feet long enough to sit on the front edge where the roof is more reinforced. With careful peeling of the liner inside, I was able to pull it back and replace it so that the rack mounts are not visible.
