Well I put more oil in today. I used the same hose and funnel technique but I substituted a smaller plastic tip. I put it in past the fill hole about an inch till it over flowed then pluged it as it was pouring out, this was at temp. Let it run for a few mintes then drove it...no slippin' like it was before I even started. But with what "central" and some of the other guys were saying I figured I might as well get the tranny rebuilt now as opposed to stoping out in the middle of no where or rush hour traffic.


P.S. I learned something here...the hard way. If your high milage tranny has not been taken care of before you buy the car...don't change the oil. The gritt in old oil is helping the friction surfaces. When you put fresh oil in it, the gritt is gone and all you are left with is old ass clutches. If your tranny as been surviced from the begining then you should continue to change the oil and filter. So check the oil if it is dirty and grimmy, close her up and get a for sale sign. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />
