I think I pulled a major fupah(sp?). I think it might be possible that I fried my ECM at some point. The engine starts and runs fine mind you, but I'm experiencing hard shifting both up and down, especially when I gun the accelerator. There's some wires on my alternator that I was playing with the other day, and I suppose it's possible that I have it hooked up wrong, but one is labled ECM. Is it possible that damage could have been done by this wire coming from the alternator labled ECM? It just started the shifting problem after that point. I've had the replacement alternator for quite a while, but had a problem with the regulator and had to have it switched out. In any event, I don't know if I've really screwed myself up this time. Does the auto transmission on the 96 have a separate control module, or is it controlled by the main ECM? Any suggestions on fixing my hard shift, or do I need to find an ECM replacement? Thanks everyone.
