Any one got a diagram for 91 montero Throttle Position Sensor. There are four pins on this TPS. Pins 1-4 on measure 4.4 kohms. Pins 1-3 show .11 ohms to 4.4 Kohms. Pin 2 to pin 1 shows Open to 4.4 kohms and appears to be a switch? Can anyone confirm this? I look a 316 stealth site and this is what is used on the 3.0 stealth. Does anyone know if this is correct for the 91 montero? My ECU just rebuilt is show code 14 for TSP problem. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Does anyone have the factory manual for the 91 montero, I have looked for 6 months and can not find one anywhere.(Ebay, Internet, Stealer, Helm Inc) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

This is from the 1990 Mits FSM. It should be the same as yours. I have taken a 1991 apart for spares and so far all of the MPI parts are the came between it and my 1990.

[Note that the last 2 are from a different portion of the MPI section of the FSM.

Notice how your link says url=... that's not acceptable for the forum.

You have you have to get the url from the screen with a bunch of pics. (this one)


by right clicking on the image thumbnail and select "copy url".

Not sure why it's not working on your post. I tried modifying your post personally and your right, it doesn't work.

I did work when I reposted it myself. Maybe it has to do with modifying a post with a pic, or having a non working image url with a working url.

I modified this post and added your other links but realized that they werent the correct link. Interestingly enough when I did that, the one that did work stopped working. When I removed the invalid image url's the valid one worked again. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Vic, thanks for the diagrams. That help alot. I thought I had all my codes cleared. Got a new one today. Vehicle speed sensor Code 24 no voltage change of vehicle speed sensor signal. So thanks again. I am still looking for that 90-91 manual. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> Vic, anyway you can put that 90 FSM on CD?

Glad that I could be of some help. I have the 90 Montero original FSM, and I donÆt want to cut it up to scan the whole thing. Happy to scan an occasional page or two if needed.

Would you recommend ECUdirect over Avpro? I need to send out the ECU out of my 90 and have it repaired.
