For those of you interested in Isuzu Trooper's "competition" or who may like to own a Crosslander, here is an update from Wardsauto.com (Ward's Automotive).

--Cross Lander Hits EPA Road Block

A Miami company promised to bring Romanian-built SUVs to more than 100 U.S. dealers by the spring of 2004, but its vehicle -- the Cross Lander 244X --has yet to gain EPA approval.

Comment: If this vehicle makes it past the EPA business and sells in the states, then again Isuzu missed (lost) an opportunity with the Trooper or Trooper replacement (as a note, I do not consider the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />ender as a Trooper replacement).

Sadly I had to get rid of my 1996 Trooper 3.2L due to a rusted frame.

I apologize. As this comes to my work email I was entirely unaware of the login need. My attempts at logging in from home have failed. I will try other ways to get this info posted.
