It could be bushings, but I would suggest it might also be simply that the driver was not used to the very soft suspension of the Lexus. Factory LC80 coils are notoriously soft, and the Lexus versions more so again. This is (has been) discussed on several LC boards across the Net. The (heavy) nose of LC80's tends to dip (drop)in corners, and is particularly noticeable when swerve back and forth (as if you were actually testing the steering).

This softness is particularly noticeable after stepping out of other rigs when you go for that test drive. The Lexus is 'sprung' to a luxury-like suppleness, out of character for the weight of the vehicle. Far too soft, allowing too much pitch and roll, which some mistake for 'looseness' in handling.

A decent set of OME (Old Man Emu) coils all 'round will have that rig running alot better.

There are few vehecles designed and built to the standard of Toyota LC 80's.
